AFTERSCHOOL

STEM’s purpose is to develop skill sets that are aligned with 21st Century practices that allow scholars to explore, discover, and learn about the world around them. Embracing this mission, better prepares our scholars for the growing demands of our economy with future-ready practicums. STEAM also prepares our scholars with these skills, but also embraces a passion for creativity and imagination by including art. STREAM adds an additional layer to STEAM: reading and wRiting. It’s been noted the importance of literacy for a well-rounded curriculum that requires critical thinking and creativity.

Many of the scholars appreciate the opportunity to work independently on activities and to study after a long day at school. We provide a quiet place to work on homework, read, journal, or seek academic support from peers and teachers. Scholars can also work on various projects in small group settings

RISE & SHINE FREEDOM SCHOOL

IT’S NOT SCHOOL, IT’S CAMP!

Each week, campers will shake things up with a new theme, proving that learning can be fun AND inspiring.

We know from past experiences as a child, that camp is essential to building independence, confidence, and lasting friendships. Having your child attend summer camp is a great way to help them grow and learn about themselves./p

Teen Leaders will develop everyday life skills by participating in a variety of activities, workshops, and events that will work on eight (8) core life and career skills: communication, food, money, clothing, at-home, car, career development, and community service. These everyday life skills will help them become happy, productive adults in a safe, fun, and relaxed environment called CAMP. Your teens will learn to become self-sufficient before they head off to college, the military, or the workforce.
